theres an ethan allen furniture store across the road from the treatment center im going to in la (long story) & it has me thinking about you an awful lot. though i doubt it fought in the revolutionary war, or secretly negotiated for vermont to rejoin britain. i am also quite confident that it did not write reason: the only oracle of man, but perhaps it really did found the green mountain men, who, apparently, also mustered in the iraq war. i wonder what ira would think of that – the cat or the man, i personally see no difference. the backyard of the sober house that im staying in (again, long story) has a nice view of the mountains that makes me miss the northeast. while the flora here is delightfully alien, the trees are certainly lacking. i hope your paintings are the sort thats never been seen before (i suspect they are). i hope the fall leaves are crisp, and ira is fat and happy. i hope you can read my handwriting. on the reverse ill do my best to draw a silkie rooster. love, s.
