Stone of Madness Press is a physical [online] and conceptual space for queer, trans, and neurodiverse writers. This project is born of the belief that you belong here, too. We are committed to creating a literary magazine that celebrates unconventionality. We welcome your queer narratives, mental illness elegies, transcendent fancies and whatever feels like it just might not fit anywhere else. We cordially invite you to do with that what you will.

Stone of Madness Press does not condone racism, ableism, audism, misogyny, transphobia, homophobia, xenophobia, sexual harassment or assault, or any other bigotry, in the work we publish or from our writers. We also do not tolerate plagiarized work. Writers who violate these terms may have their work removed from our site.

Please note that this is a volunteer-run lovechild and that we are not able to offer financial compensation this time. However, as writers, we encourage you to first pursue paying markets. What you will get from us is all the social media attention you want and deserve and to be a part of a project of great love.

We hope to give you a home.

_____ figuration:

an anthology of trans writers

edited by L SCULLY, _____ figuration is an anthology of forty-one contributors that bend the parameters of language to make room for each other. Some of the writers you will encounter here are seasoned awardees, and for some, it’s their first publication. The works in this book defy genre, decorum, and biological sex. Within these pages, gender is literature.

The content of this book was gathered in response to an open call not just for writing on trans topics, but writing about anything by trans writers.
