A Golden Wedding

by Simon Maddrell

after Essex Hemphill

They don’t know we are becoming powerful. Every
ring we place on a cock belongs, each time
we milk our seed we heal our sickness,
we
whisper new promises, we vow to
kiss
horsemen, naked not wearing hoods,
we
honour our brothers & sisters who confirm
and not destroy. Our blooming honey is the
rosebud drawing in light. Seen & being in a new
media era, knowing we now belong in the world
free loving queers with a dream & still coming.
