Chasing the Sun
for Francisco X. Alarcón
by Mike W. Blottenberger
Maybe us
gay poets are just here
chasing the sun
each word
a match that burns
our fingertips
while this hole
in the sky
gets larger
give us
the needle & thread
to sew it together
hurry up please
we’re almost
out of paper
