Domestic

by Meredith MacLeod Davidson

now there’s the place

the kiss now there

the canvas coat

laid flat in dirt

holding one tender

spot of blood. Loose,

the memory. The house

Brick-purple

and you’re gone. And

everyone’s moved away. And

I’m gone, searching

the house,

the recall,

steps away -
