Letter Carrier
by Bradley David
With me in your womb
like a player piano passenger,
wet red dishtowel overtaking your shoulder
like a napkin draping a pink apple,
you stared out the fogged window,
seams soft and separated by sink steam fleeing
for faint trails through forest-thick night snow,
wondering what I might become.
